Owl Hole Plume Agate slabs
Owl Hole Crossing produced banded agates, plume and sagenite. I got these slabs from the man who collected this nodule. The location is associated with a railroad crossing and was once a popular collecting site. My friend went quite a way from the main area and found this single nodule; it takes a lot of skill and perseverance to find a good agate in these old and once well known areas. The backs of these slender slabs have some epoxy added to strengthen them to withstand the stress of polishing.
