Nyssa Plume Agate Slabs
This colorful plume agate was named for the Eastern Oregon town of Nyssa, home of the Nyssa Thunderegg Days show, one of the classic Oregon rock shows. It was found at a location where they were planning to build an airport and for a while it was named 'Airport Plume'. Since the airport never materialized the name was changed. It is a distinctive plume and an important element in any Oregon plume collection. We first encountered this material on our 2010 rockhounding vacation and were able to get a few very nice slabs.
