Lordsburg Pink Agate Specimens

Lordsburg, New Mexico, gave its name to these agates since it is the largest town in the area, but to get to the source one must take the highway north from Lordsburg toward Duncan and, before you reach Duncan, you have to head back into Arizona to Round Mountain. The agates are also known as Antique Pink. Like the agates from Mulligan Peak, the Lordsburg Pink agates have been collected for a very long time. When this has happened all traces of the agates eventually are carted off by collectors and it becomes impossible to know where to dig. It would take a long time to become a successful collector in this area and the man who provides me with the Pinks is the same man that provides the Mulligan Peak agates for us, so he has paid his dues. These agates are all free from flaws and beautifully colored for this location.
