Morrisonite Jasper Specimens

In the high desert in the remote southeastern corner of Oregon lies the most famous region for jaspers in the world, The Owyhee. In this area, very near Jordan Crater, on the eastern slope of the Owyhee River, is the Morrisonite Jasper deposit, The King of Jaspers. I have personally known the three major miners, Tom Caldwell, Jake Jacobitz and Gene Mueller.
