Nydegger Plume Agate Slabs

In the early days of the agate collecting craze a white plume agate was discovered on the Nydegger Ranch near Post, Oregon. In the finest material the plumes were snowy white or, even better, tinged with red or yellow. The host agate was often as clear as a mountain stream. It has not been mined for many years and the only material that can be found these days is in the collections of old timers ( like me :>).
