Laguna Agate Specimens

These specimens come from the Sierra San Martin, home of the ‘true’ Lagunas, about fifty kilometers north of Ciudad Chihuahua, Mexico. For at least fifty years the most avidly collected agate has been Laguna. No other agate can compare when you consider all the elements of color, pattern, variety, abundance, and so forth. Recently we can see that the time when the material would be readily available is coming to an end.
