Patagonia Agate Specimens

The banded agates of Patagonia are a collector's delight. The southern region of Argentina known as Patagonia is remote, vast and dangerous, and the weather is harsh, the winds incessant. The agates, however, are not the least bit harsh, they are delicate in color, the banding tends to be sharp and fine and the form of the nodules tends to be regular but not monotonous. These agates first appeared on the market only nine years ago and the present time is a window of opportunity for collectors.
